Name: Peekay (16 Jul 2000) Town: Bulphan Comment: Saw the lads on the 3rd day of the Sussex game at Arundel. Lovely setting, great day out. Trust Mark Bevan to show his true form on this particular day. A great range of memrobilia for sale at the ground, alas no Wisden 1972... was hoping to read about the greatest one-day innings I'll ever remember.. Brian Davison for Leicestershire against Warwickshire at Coventry in May 1972, 158 not out...he hit absolutely everything. Also, I was proud to have witnessed John Lever scuttling Middlesex At Chalkwell Park, Westcliff in 1972 taking 5-8 with Middlesex Bowled out for 41. Was hoping to read about that too.

Comment: Nice to see a webpage for Essex CC. As a follower of the county
Since birth, a connection through the internet gives more
Satisfaction. Unfortunately with the distance to travel to
home games I find this medium a blessing. Good luck on this
innovation and for the future seasons. PE Miller

Comment: Well done on the page - hope you can keep providing information
like that on the friendly that will be difficult to find else-
where. You didn't mention the Monday friendly against Durham.
Essex also lost that one heavily (about 12 overs to spare)maybe
that is why. Can you or anyone else shed any light on who Ricky
Anderson is? And when does Stuart Law arrive in the country?
And does Cowan's visit to the Doctor's mean he wont be able to
play v Leicester? Will we get Leicester out for under 450?
Answers to any of these questions will be gratefully received.
